BLOCK PRINTING is the most ancient and simplest technique of printing on textile.  The design is carved into a teak or ebony wood block, for more complex designs also in metal blocks. After dipping the block into colour sieve covered by jute the block is pressed on the fabric. It is a slow process that needs a lot of time, precision and patience.

Block prints are done by eye, even imperfections signs of the human hand are part of the beauty from this craft.
