Handloom fabrics are made with devices that are fully operated by hand and foot. To support local artisans, we develop and buy the handloom fabrics directly from the artisans that work in various villages mostly in Madya Pradesh. The village of Maheshwar for example is a village where handloom has been a tradition since centuries. 

The local artisans work at their homes and some of them are even spinning the threads by themselves. Handloom is a complicated and very time-consuming craft that demands a long-time experience, much patience and a strong expertise.

Today the craft of handloom is about to decrease and slowly disappear. Because of very low salaries the new generation is losing interest in practicing and learning the craft of handloom. 

We are buying directly from the artisans to pay them a better income and support and motivate them by visiting the weavers in their villages.

The quality of the handloom fabrics is very exclusive since the weavingprocess passes on 7 to 10 different hands which makes the handloom fabric very unique. The irregularities witness a fully handmade product.
